These are browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server inquiry, IP address. Insofar as personal data within the meaning of the DSGVO is involved, it will be processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit f DSGVO for the purpose of establishing a smooth connection to the website and to ensure its convenient use because of a legitimate interest existing in this respect (provision of an online service as error-free as possible). The server log files are not merged with other data to identify a natural person.

Cookies are also used to make our website technically more effective and secure. Cookies are small files that the customer’s browser automatically creates when he visits our website in order to make the website more user-friendly. Most of the cookies used are so-called “session cookies”, which are automatically deleted after the website visit is completed. Other cookies remain stored on the user’s terminal device for the purpose of recognition. Insofar as personal data within the meaning of the DSGVO are processed, this is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit f DSGVO in order to safeguard legitimate interests (provision of a convenient and user-friendly online service). The user can set his browser so that he is informed about the setting of cookies and their use is only permitted or generally excluded in individual cases. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of the website may be restricted.

GIVICI also collects personal data for the purpose of initiating or fulfilling contractual obligations arising from a training or seminar contract and for its implementation. Data collection has its legal basis in Art. 6 para. 1 lit. and f DSGVO. As far as special categories of personal data are concerned, in particular data on religious and ideological convictions, the legal basis lies in Art. 9 para. 2 lit. d DSGVO. Data will not be passed on to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so, e.g. vis-à-vis authorities (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c DSGVO). The data will be deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose of their processing.

You have the right to request information about the data we have stored about you (Art. 15 DSGVO). In addition, if the data are inaccurate, they may demand that they be corrected (Art. 16 DSGVO) or that the data be deleted (Art. 17 DSGVO) or that their processing be restricted (Art. 18 DSGVO). There is also a right to data transferability (Art. 20 DSGVO). In the case of data processing on the basis of a weighing of interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO), data subjects are entitled to a general right of objection in special situations (Art. 21 para. 1 DSGVO). The objection can be made without form and should be addressed to datenschutz@givici.de. Finally, data subjects have the right to appeal to the competent data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 DSGVO).

You can also refer to this data protection information in your business letters so that you do not have to fulfil your information obligations in paper form; for example, by a note in the footer: “Data protection at GIVICI at www.givici.de”.
